Every portrait tells a story...

As Peters Photography celebrates 40 years in business, we are taking the time to look back on all our favorite images. We have created photographs for so many of the families in Ohio and across the U.S., and each portrait tells its own story.

This portrait of my children may just look, to you, like a nice portrait, but when I look at it I see something very different. Read my “story”, I hope it pulls at your heartstrings and reminds you of your family portraits.

Janines Story...

Where has the time gone? I look at this portrait in disbelief. My children have gone from little boys to teenagers right in front of my eyes! Their personalities haven’t changed but their faces have. I look at this image with feelings of happiness to see two handsome young men, yet sometimes I wish that my boys were still little. They don’t depend on me for every little need anymore. I’m so proud of them!

It’s hard to believe that they have already finished the first half of their childhood. All I have are the memories and photographs.Six years have passed since their first photograph shown here, and I can’t imagine what the next six will bring! I pray that I have fulfilled my place in their lives. Am I the best Mom I can be? Have I taught them the important things in life? When I sit back and reminisce, I am so thankful that God chose me to be their Mom. I am honored to be the teacher to the boys looking at me in this portrait.

Brooke's Story...

A beautful portrait of mother and baby. That is what most would see in this portrait, but it is so much more for me. This is a portrait of my miracle baby girl that is here with me. It is also a reminder of my baby girl Paisley, who passed away, and is in heaven waiting for me. I feel so blessed to have this baby, Irelyn Paisley, here in my arms.

Looking at this portrait reminds me of what I went through to bring her into this world, and how very lucky I am that she is here, beautiful and healthy. This photograph portrays what I always want for my daughter, for her to be close to my heart and surrounded by love. I want her to always be at peace and know my arms are around her, protecting her and treasuing her. This is an amazing moment that can never be recreated, and I feel so blessed to have it captured in time, to always be treasured. Each and every baby is a precious miracle, and looking at this portrait of gorgeous Irelyn and myself, I feel God’s grace and love and know that He is good. Thank you Brian and Janine for all the beautful memories you have created for my family and the many more that are sure to come. Your work is a blessing in our lives and will always mean the world to us.
